To answer your query, "whens, enough, enough?"

I hate to say it, but it is the point when instead of two people working together to make something beautiful, you have only one person holding onto memories and promises.  That is when "enough is enough" and things finally must end.  To quote Forrest Gump  "That's all I have to say about that"  :)
